What is Clinical Neuropsychology?
Clinical Neuropsychology is a specialty within Clinical Psychology that is devoted to the applied analysis of brain-behavior relationships. Using knowledge and training about brain anatomy, physiology, and pathology, with a full range of assessment tools and expertise, a neuropsychologist answers referral questions having to do with functioning following an acute problem such as a stroke or traumatic brain injury. A neuropsychologist might assess an older person for dementia, or a younger person for ADHD or a learning disorder.
